Since the start of the full-scale war, Ukraine has received more than 10 billion zlotys (2.1 billion euros) in aid from Poland. The largest share in this amount is the value of the transferred weapons.
The value of the transferred weapons is about PLN 7 billion.
Relevant data on assistance to Ukraine was named by the head of the Office of the Prime Minister of Poland, Michal Dvorczyk. He said that he had seen estimates according to which the entire amount of assistance provided to Ukraine and Ukrainians, including contributions from Polish citizens, exceeds 10 billion zlotys.
However, the head of the Office of the Prime Minister of Poland did not indicate where exactly this figure was indicated. It is reported that the largest share in this amount is the value of the transferred weapons – about 7 billion zlotys.
Commenting on the assistance to Ukraine, Dvorchik noted that this is not only solidarity with the Ukrainians, but also a strategic march so that Russian tanks do not appear on the Belarusian border.
This is important not only as solidarity with our eastern neighbor, but also as a strategic action that contributes to the security of Poland. Each Russian tank destroyed in Ukraine is potentially minus one tank, which could eventually stand on the Russian-Polish or Belarusian-Polish border, – said Michal Dvorczyk.
