After the destruction of the second A-50 AWACS over the Sea of Azov the day before, Russia has less than eight such aircraft left since the beginning of the year.
This was stated by the speaker of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat on the air of the One News telethon.
— Intelligence data must be taken into account. The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kirill Budanov, said that before this there were eight aircraft. Not all of them are working, not all are modernized. Therefore, they could be counted on the fingers of one hand, — added Ignat.
According to him, the destruction of such a target indicates that the enemy will have fewer opportunities in this direction.
