How long will IDP benefits be paid?
At the request of the editors of Facts ICTV, the Ministry of Social Policy noted that the mechanism for providing residence assistance is regulated by the Procedure for providing residence assistance to internally displaced persons, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated March 20, 2022 No. 332.
According to the specified Procedure, assistance is assigned to:

- from August 1, 2023 – for six months to an internally displaced person who first applies for his appointment, and is paid monthly to an internally displaced person or an authorized person for an internally displaced person in the event of incapacity of the recipient or child. A living allowance is assigned to each internally displaced person, information about which is included in the Unified Information Database on Internally Displaced Persons.
- from November 1, 2023 – for six months per family that applied for assistance for the first time, and is paid once a month to one of the family members.
The amount of the benefit is determined in the following amounts:
- for persons with disabilities and children – 3000 hryvnia;
- for second parties – 2000 hryvnia.
Who will not receive IDP benefits?
From August 1, 2023, payments will not be received:
- persons staying abroad for more than 30 calendar days in a row;
- are serving sentences in places of deprivation of liberty;
- have been convicted of a criminal offense;
- returned to an abandoned place of residence in territories included in the list of territories for which the date of completion of hostilities (cessation of the possibility of hostilities) or temporary occupation has not been determined;
- if a person, as of September 2023, purchased a car that is less than 5 years old, a plot of land or an apartment, a house for a total amount exceeding UAH 100 thousand.
Taking into account the above, the government also plans to provide living assistance to those persons who are entitled to it next year, 2024.
