Russia is doomed
Also, many here believe that the still unofficial but real political goal for the United States in this war is to change the leader of Russia, and preferably the entire regime. Of course, no one officially admits this.
Many of my university colleagues are very upset by the war.
It is said that at a time when the world must fight poverty, climate change or the invasion of populism in politics, Russia has unleashed a war. This is suicide. Both for Russia and for everyone else.
The struggle continues
There are Ukrainian students here helping Ukraine with the sanctions policy. Every Ukrainian is trying to do something different.
There were many questions about whether there will be a revolution in Russia. I said: “No, in my opinion.”
In general, they are all interested and want to help, but they know little about Ukraine and do not know how to help, except financially. I have very good colleagues. Everyone hugged me and tried to praise us, support us emotionally. Pittsburgh seemed to me much warmer, more humane than New York. But this is possible because they are my friends and they treat Ukraine more personally.
