Ukraine is finally reducing the number of outages. This opportunity came about thanks to the heroic work of our power engineers, who work around the clock to restore damaged equipment.
According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting, on December 27, after emergency restoration work, 2 units were returned to the network thermal power plants.
At the same time, Shmyhal recalled that Ukraine has a well-established algorithm for prioritizing the healing of consumers. It works as follows:
- first place is critical infrastructure,
- second place is military-industrial complex,
- third place is critical production,
- fourth place – housing stock.
We make sure that shutdowns are fair, and their load is evenly distributed to all consumers,” Shmyhal assured .
Under what conditions will the New Year holidays be held without emergency shutdowns
The Ukrainian prime minister noted that Russia is not going to stop missile terror and is preparing to continue attacks on our energy system.
“Therefore, we are in daily readiness for new massive shelling. This can happen at any time: today, tomorrow or even on New Year's Eve. I want to emphasize that in the absence of shelling, the New Year holidays will pass without emergency shutdowns,” the Prime Minister stressed.
He added that the enemy primarily seeks to sow fear and panic. But he will not succeed.
We will stand, because we are the only ones, strong and motivated to fight for our native land, – Shmyhal stressed.
And for this in order to quickly restore the energy system, the government decides to simplify the construction of overhead power lines and substations.
We add that earlier the Kyiv City State Administration urged not to ignore air raid signals during the holidays and reminded of the bans, because the occupiers may not forget ” congratulate” the Ukrainians in their traditional massed manner.
What is the situation with electricity in Ukraine
- As of December 27, there is a shortage of power in energy system of Ukraine decreased slightly. This happened due to an increase in the production of power plants.
- The day before it became known that Ukrainian power engineers managed to redistribute electricity in Kyiv so that electricity is periodically available in all areas.
