Отдых за границей без россиян: куда поехать летом в отпуск

The specialist told how even when traveling to Turkey you can minimize the chances of meeting with Russian citizens.

Resorts, hotels and holidays without Russians – these requests are a priority among Ukrainian tourists who are planning a vacation abroad. Tour selection specialist Marina Kazakova told which resorts have the lowest chances of meeting Russians in the summer of 2024.

This was reported by “RBK-Ukraine”.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the EU countries began to introduce visa restrictions for Russians. They mainly concern tourist trips. Thus, the EU completely terminated the agreement on a simplified visa regime with Russia.

At the same time, a number of countries, including Estonia, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands, stopped accepting documents from Russian citizens for tourist visas. Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia eventually completely closed entry to Russians with Schengen visas.

However, this does not mean that you cannot meet Russians in these countries, since many of them have a residence permit in EU countries.

Resorts without Russians

“We cannot guarantee hotels where there will be no Russians – if only because they may have dual citizenship or residence of another country. But still at European resorts where a Schengen visa is needed – this is Italy, France, Spain, Greece – there will be fewer Russians,” said Kazakova.

Many Ukrainians would also like to spend their holidays in maritime countries in hotels without Russians. According to a tour selection specialist, even with travel to Turkey you can minimize the chances of meeting Russian citizens.

“There are hotels that are focused only on the European market – for example, the French buy 80% of the number of rooms, and leave 20% for the Poles, British and others. Therefore, you can ask a travel agent about such hotels that work for the EU market “, suggested Kazakova.

She also recalled that Russians love the all-inclusive and ultra-all-inclusive holiday format. Therefore, you can meet much fewer Russian tourists if, instead of holidaying in Antalya, you choose Bodrum or Kusadasi, the Dalaman region, do not stay in all-inclusive hotels and take “breakfast”, “breakfast-dinner”.

For a summer holiday, the specialist recommends considering Norway, which recently banned the entry of Russian tourists. There you can go on a cruise and ride through the fjords.

By the way, Russian citizens who came to Turkey after the start of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine are fleeing the country due to the impossibility of obtaining residence permits and financial problems, in particular with banking services due to sanctions.
