Sergey Danilov, deputy director of the Center for Middle East Studies, told Channel 24 about this. He noted that the Iranian experience of protests shows that they can be sustainable and last for years.
“If they do not subside, they can overthrow the current government. When there is structure, leaders, organization . Relatively speaking, 3 million people on the streets of Tehran and the Islamic Republic of Iran will be dismantled,” Danilov said.

What is needed for a successful protest
According to Danilov, the reason that there are still no clear results of the protests is absence of a leader, organization, self-organization.
Organization emerged, but at the grassroots level. There is no national leader, there is no national structure. Remember the Maidan – there are different hundreds, there are volunteers and they line everything up. Without this, we would not have survived and would not have won,” the expert said.
