The StratCom of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told the story of the Hero of Ukraine Andriy Norov. On March 13, his life was interrupted by enemy shelling. Then the captain of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with a unit evacuated the wounded after the battle in the Kiev region.
Since 2016, the Hero has served in a separate mechanized brigade named after the Black Cossacks. He was a holder of the Order “For Courage”.
Already on the first day of the Russian invasion, a unit led by a combat officer destroyed:
- several enemy helicopters;
- armored vehicles ;
- three trucks with ammunition and property.
And later, the Cossack soldiers liberated one of the settlements of the Kiev region from Russian invaders.
March 19, 2022 Captain Andrey Norov was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine (posthumously). Let's finish with victory what he fought for. We will avenge everyone,” the message says.
