In Russia they like to imagine that the arrival of Donald Trump in the White House will significantly help them in the war against Ukraine. Allegedly, Trump will stop military aid to our state. At the same time, Putin began to claim the opposite.

Vladimir Putin is trying in every possible way to disown ties with the ex-president of the United States. But Trump uses this for his own purposes. Igor Eidman, a sociologist and political scientist from Germany, told Channel more about this PR strategy.

Cooperation between Putin and Trump

The other day, the first debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump took place in the United States of America. The performance of the current president disappointed many.

Of course, the topic of debates in the United States has become a very hot topic in Russia.

Propagandists used this debate to mock Biden, that's obvious. They fulfilled this agenda 100%. And Putin himself, of course, is promoting Trump. Because now it is necessary to emphasize in every possible way that he is not connected with the Kremlin,” noted Igor Eidman.

Vladimir Putin is now pretending that he is allegedly afraid of Donald Trump coming to power. In particular, in a famous interview with propagandist Tucker Carlson, the dictator said that Biden is supposedly better for Russia, because he is “predictable.”

“Narcissistic Trump starts saying, look, look Putin is afraid of me! But this is just a PR stunt. Putin is promoting Trump, and Trump is using this to gain voter support,” explained the sociologist.

It’s worth noting that Trump’s support may actually increase somewhat after the debate. But Democrats even started talking about changing Biden's candidacy to Vice President Camilla Harris. The need for such a step was also noted by US Congress Speaker Mike Johnson.
