Lysichansk slides back to the Middle Ages
The head of the Luhansk regional military Sergiy Gaidai published the theses of a Slovak journalist about Lisichansk.
Journalist Tomasz Forro wrote that he “came back from a hell called Lisichansk.” He said that he got to Lisichansk in an evacuation armored vehicle. According to him, on the way back, when the car was filled with civilians, the infidels hit him with a grenade launcher.
The journalist drew attention to the fact that Lisichansk is slipping back to the Middle Ages, because there is no light due to shelling, water, gas, petrol, cell phone.
This anti-utopia is supplemented by military equipment – a modern armored car appeared behind the car a few tens of meters later. Not to mention rockets and bombs falling all around,” Forro noted.
He noted that life in Lisichansk is on the verge of collapse, although tens of thousands of people remain in the city. The journalist said that at one of the main intersections a horse-drawn cart drove past him, the owner of which went to the other end of the city, looking for water.

The military complains about the locals who refuse to evacuate
Forro said the Ukrainian military was complaining about local residents refusing to evacuate. Therefore, they endanger not only themselves, but also the military.
The Slovak journalist said that only 21 people agreed to leave during the day. Forro noted that he managed to convince one of the men in the market to leave with them.
There was no room in our transport, but he and his family in his own car with the last liters of gasoline in a tank with several other vehicles, he formed a column behind our armored vehicle,” Forro wrote.
According to the journalist, there is only one relatively safe route in Lisichansk, where the Russian military opened fire on their vehicles.
“The Ukrainian army will have to do a lot to further evacuate people through it, as well as supply ammunition and provisions “, he added.

Tomas Forro told how he climbed to the highest floors of the bombed-out houses, where, despite the shelling, elderly people still live. He noted that these people cannot reach the first floor, which is why their rooms are filled with garbage.

What is the situation in Lisichansk
- According to preliminary data, the Russian military captured 95% of the territory of the Lugansk region. The enemy sent the main forces to capture Severodonetsk, where fierce battles have been going on since the end of May.
- The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed that the Russians are trying to cordon off units of Ukrainian troops in the area of the settlements of Lysychansk, Privilege, Severodonetsk and Borovskoye.
- The Institute for the Study of War reported that the Russian invaders want to cut off the Ukrainian lines of communication in Lysichansk.
- Civilians, including children, are killed due to shelling by the Russian military. A 6-year-old boy was recently killed in Lysichansk due to Russian shelling.
- On June 16, the Russian Armed Forces carried out two air strikes on Lysichansk, killing at least four people.
