It is noted that the Airbus A320-200 of the Turkish airline BBN Airlines was heading from Oslo to Antalya. Its route, which recorded a hit in the airspace of Ukraine closed due to the war, is reflected on the Flightradar24 website.

According to the newspaper, after about two hours in the air the plane deviated from the route and flew on the border of the Transcarpathian and Chernivtsi regions, entering the air zone of Ukraine. It then flew into Romanian airspace.

BBN Airlines confirmed to NRK that their plane changed routes on July 25 due to an approaching storm.

— We understand the concern this incident is causing and ensure that we will actively take action to prevent such incidents, — a representative of the airline told the publication.

It is noted that at the time of the flight the plane was rented by another Turkish airline — Freebird Airlines, which operates charter flights.

After the incident, the airline launched an internal investigation.

The Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine did not comment on this incident.
