The security forces detained and announced suspicion to a local deputy from the banned pro-Russian party “Opposition platform – while alive.” Who exactly is being referred to is not reported, but it is known that the official worked for enemy intelligence in the Donetsk region, not far from the collision line.
Back in 2022, the activities of the Opposition Platform for Life Party were banned throughout Ukraine, but it is obvious that this decision should have been made much earlier. Actually, on Tuesday, January 31, it became known that law enforcement officers detained a deputy from this political force in the East of our state.

He also transmitted coordinates to local critical infrastructure facilities, in including energy generating companies. The occupiers needed intelligence information to carry out targeted missile strikes on Ukrainian cities, the SBU wrote.

The SBU stated that, based on the evidence collected, the investigators informed the deputy of suspicion. And later the court chose a measure of restraint for him in the form of detention without the possibility of bail. In addition, the Office of the Prosecutor General recalled that he received a “reward” for his work for Russia, which is about 6,000 hryvnias. The SBU, together with the units of the SBU of Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural leadership of the Donetsk regional prosecutor's office, also noted in the department.
