On May 23, the Russians broke into the house of an employee of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and shot him. The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine published a recording of intercepted conversations of the occupiers, where they reveal the details of their crime.
The telegram channel of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported the details of the war crime of the occupiers in the Zaporozhye region.
The city of Energodar is under temporary enemy occupation. The Russians have occupied the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and are checking the population, in particular, they are looking for those who fought in the Donbas after 2014.
Ukrainian intelligence managed to intercept the conversations of the Kremlin mercenaries, who made an attempt on the life of Sergei Shvets, an employee of the nuclear power plant's energy repair unit.
“The employees of the Russian punitive detachment first find out the personal details of Shvets. Then they are ordered to find him at his workplace. When it turns out, that he left the station after the end of the shift, they are sending a group to the place of residence,” the GUR MOU reported.

Several conversations between the occupiers can be heard on the recording. The last call from a Russian serviceman with the call sign “catcher”. The victim reports that they found the man at his home address.
The address was worked out. He has a machine gun, he resisted. He was “soaked”. He's still alive, but he won't survive. He has several ball wounds,” the terrorist reported to his leadership.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian military broke into the home of Sergei Shvets and shot him with automatic weapons.
The ZNPP worker was immediately taken to a local hospital, where doctors immediately began to save the man's life. According to Energoatom, the victim received numerous ball wounds with penetration into the body and lost a large amount of blood. It is noted that such injuries are practically incompatible with life. The doctors operated on Sergei for about 10 hours. It is noted that the man survived the extremely complicated operation.
“We hope for a further miracle – recovery,” Energoatom wrote in a message.
Energodar mayor Dmitry Orlov also reported on the condition of the victim. According to him, Sergei Shvets remains alive, although he is in critical condition.
Intelligence has not yet disclosed the details of this war crime.
