He is influenced by dubious personalities: what is Trump’s worldview based on Victoria Grabovskaya

The Speaker of the House of Representatives is confident that Donald Trump can establish peace in Ukraine through force. Republican Mike Johnson also noted that the White House acted exactly the opposite on this issue.

Renew Democracy Initiative executive director Uriel Epstein told Channel 24 that we need to focus not on the statements of political figures, but on their actions. The actions of the Republicans during Russia's war against Ukraine were quite eloquent.

Isolationism is more dangerous< /h2>

Recall that it was representatives of the Republican Party and Johnson personally who prevented the allocation of aid to Ukraine from the United States for several months. The Speaker was subsequently convinced that this support needed to be provided.

Also worth paying attention to is Trump's designated Vice President, J.D. Vance.

Previously, he stated that he “doesn’t care about Ukraine.” Trump would not have chosen a candidate for this position who spoke out like that if it did not have at least some influence on his worldview, he emphasized.

Such dubious individuals as journalist Tucker Carlson, billionaires David Sachs and Elon Musk greatly influence Trump. The three of them, along with one of Trump's sons, convinced him to choose Vance as vice president.

At the same time, the Joseph Biden administration did not make enough efforts to provide sufficient assistance to Ukraine.

Although now there is a big threat – isolationism. On the one hand, the Democrats are very afraid of escalation and this stops them from doing what they need to do. On the other hand, Republicans believe that the United States should isolate itself and turn away from the whole world. Between these two worldviews, isolationism is more dangerous, says Uriel Epstein.
