Kharkov resident deceived people who tried to evacuate/telegram channel of the Office of the Prosecutor General
Unfortunately, even in such a difficult period that Ukraine is going through now, there are enough unscrupulous people. They manage to deceive people who want to evacuate.
Such a case was also recorded in the Kharkiv region. The local was notified of suspicion of fraud.
What scheme did he work with
According to the investigation, from February 24 to April 10, 2022, the man was looking for in messengers announcements from citizens who were looking for carriers. Then he introduced himself as a volunteer and offered assistance, in particular, the removal from the temporarily occupied territories.
The reward is money for fuel. For his services, the fraudster asked for an advance payment to a bank card, after which he disappeared.
Currently, more than 10 victims have been identified, who transferred over 230 thousand hryvnia to him.
So far, a preventive measure has been applied to the suspect – detention.
