The Russian Federation may provoke a new war in the Balkans in order to scatter the attention of the West.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated this during a conversation with African journalists on Wednesday, November 15.
He noted that in addition to the situation in the Middle East, it is necessary to closely monitor the Balkans.

The Middle East, the second distraction will be the Balkans, at least if the countries of the world, partners, do nothing now, there will be an explosion there again. Again, this is not a new story. There is a crisis in their relationship and it has been there for a long time,” Zelensky said.
According to the president, Russia will invest in ensuring that the countries of the Balkan Peninsula fight with each other. The aggressor is interested in this in order to divide the West's attention with various challenges.
In addition, at the meeting Zelensky said that Ukraine cannot afford a stalemate at the front.
