The police of the city of Irshava, Transcarpathian region, opened criminal proceedings into the cruel treatment of two 13-year-old teenagers with a small kitten.

So , while monitoring social networks, police came across a video of minors abusing a small kitten. The events took place in the Khust district in the village of Ilnitsa.

The footage (caution, sensitive content) shows how a small kitten was hung on a rope from a tree. While he was hanging in the air and waving his paws, one of the teenagers hit the animal several times with a hammer.
At this time, the second guy ran towards him with a shovel. The recording also shows a cat and another kitten lying dead on the ground.
Law enforcement officers quickly identified the children in the video. They turned out to be two local 13-year-old boys. The children and their parents were taken to the police station. Now investigators and juvenile police officers are working with them.
On the fact of cruelty to animals, the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 299 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of five to eight years.
