The Israel Defense Forces reported on November 28 that Hamas had violated the ceasefire. Palestinian militants carried out an attack in the northern Gaza Strip, the IDF said.

As a result, several Israeli soldiers were slightly injured. The IDF emphasized that this is the first serious violation of the ceasefire since the beginning of the truce.

Hamas violates truce with Israel

The Israel Defense Forces reported that three explosive devices detonated in the northern Gaza Strip. These incidents, which occurred in two different areas, are considered by the IDF to be a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement.

In addition, the Israeli military emphasizes that during one of the attacks, soldiers were fired upon, as a result of which they returned fire.

In both cases, IDF forces were within the agreed ceasefire lines, the IDF noted.

At the same time, a spokesman for Hamas's military wing said its fighters were responding to a “clear violation” of the ceasefire by the IDF in the northern Gaza Strip, which led to the shooting. He also noted that Hamas “is committed to the truce as long as the enemy respects it.”

There is a truce between Israel and Hamas

• A four-day truce began to operate between the IDF and Hamas on November 24, which was achieved through the mediation of Qatar. Ultimately, the parties agreed to exchange Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners.
• After successful exchanges, on November 27 it became known that the parties agreed to continue the ceasefire for another two days. This means that at least 20 Israeli hostages and 30 Palestinian prisoners will be released.
• On the same day, Hamas fired another group of Israeli hostages. There were 11 people there, including women and small children, including twins aged three: Emma and Yuli.
• They are already in Israel, and doctors are checking their health. At the same time, the IDF also fired dozens of Palestinians.
