The Israeli Defense Forces claim that Hamas militants may have been holding hostages at Al-Rantisi Children's Hospital in the Gaza Strip.

This is stated in a statement from the IDF.

“During the operations, troops found many weapons in the hospital basement, including explosive belts, grenades and RPG rockets. Also found on the floor was a motorcycle with gunshot marks, which was used by Hamas terrorists during the October 7 massacre. In addition, signs were found in the basement indicating that hostages were being held in the premises, the report said.

On October 7, during an attack on Israel, Hamas terrorists took about 240 hostages. Most of them are civilians.
