Slovakia is ready to provide Soviet-made MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine. It seems that negotiations on the provision of these aircraft to Kyiv are at the final stage.
Military expert Oleg Zhdanov told about this in a stream on his YouTube channel, Channel 24 reports. He recalled that in Slovakia they said that they were considering the possibility of transferring 10 out of 11 of their MiG-29s to Ukraine.
Ukraine may receive 10 MiG-29s from Slovakia
As Zhdanov noted, negotiations on this between Kiev and Bratislava began quite a long time ago.
Hallelujah, we've been waiting for six months. And finally, it looks like the negotiation process is at the finish line. And we should soon receive 10 MiG-29s, which were in service with the Slovak army, – the military expert emphasized.
He recalled that Slovakia withdrew these aircraft from the air force in the summer of 2022. Zhdanov added that now Bratislava is ready to transfer these fighters to Ukraine.

Aircraft A-50 was damaged
Zhdanov said that there is also another news related to aviation – good for Ukraine and sad for the Russian occupiers. The Russian reconnaissance aircraft A-50, which was attacked by drones, was still damaged in the explosion.
According to the military expert, this is obvious, no matter what the Belarusian or Russian authorities say.
“The An-26 aircraft with Russian specialists visited Belarus. They examined the reconnaissance aircraft and came to the conclusion that it retained its flying qualities,” Zhdanov said.
A-50 reconnaissance aircraft flew away for repairs
Even the takeoff of the A-50 aircraft was recorded. It entered Russian airspace and turned towards Taganrog.
An aircraft repair plant is located in Taganrog. This means that the aircraft is still damaged and cannot perform its functions. Therefore, he flew away for repairs, ”explained Zhdanov.
The military expert noted that another A-50 reconnaissance aircraft with a different tail number, which would be in good condition, has not yet appeared at the Machulishchi airfield in Belarus. Consequently, now the conduct of radar reconnaissance on the territory of Ukraine is quite limited for the enemy.
