< p>SBU officers detained a drug dealer who was trying to smuggle cocaine from Latin America to Ukraine, hiding it in his own stomach. To transport the drug across the border, the attackers used special capsules, which they then swallowed.
According to the press service of the SBU, each such “approach” allowed the courier to transport more than half a kilogram of cocaine, which is estimated at approximately 3.5 billion UAH.
The route of the smuggling channel ran in transit through several European countries, and then the drugs were brought to Odessa for further sale. The illegal business allowed its participants to systematically receive millions in profits.

According to the investigation, the illegal activity was organized by a representative of criminals from the Sumy region together with her accomplice, who traveled to one of the Latin American countries.
There, the man established connections with local drug dealers, from whom he bought cocaine and transported it to Ukraine. In particular, a resident of Odessa received smuggled goods and subsequently looked for drug dealers.
To transport drugs from abroad, the defendants regularly hired drug couriers, who received a percentage of each shipment of goods. Such carriers were sought among persons who were exempt from conscription and could freely cross the border.

SBU employees One of the drug gang members was detained at a customs post. He tried to bring almost half a kilogram of cocaine into Ukraine in himself and in his own things.
After this, two more defendants were detained — the organizer of drug trafficking and her accomplice from Odessa. During the searches, mobile phones and other evidence of criminal activity were confiscated from the attackers.
All three detainees were informed of suspicion of drug smuggling by prior conspiracy by a group of persons.
The court chose a preventive measure in the form detention. The SBU reports that comprehensive measures are ongoing to bring to justice a supplier of foreign drugs who is hiding abroad. The perpetrators face up to 10 years in prison.
