On November 17, the High Anti-Corruption Court partially granted the request of the SAPO prosecutor and changed the preventive measure against the head of the Ternopil Regional Council, Mikhail Golovko, who is suspected of receiving almost 1.8 million UAH in bribes.
The suspect was subjected to 24-hour house arrest, and more than 805 thousand UAH, which were paid as collateral, were collected from the state.
On June 26, 2023, the chairman of the Ternopil regional council, Mikhail Golovko, and two deputy chairmen of the Ternopil regional military administration were informed of suspicion under Part 4 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of unlawful benefits by an official).

On that day, all three officials were detained for receiving unlawful benefits in the amount of almost 1.8 million UAH from a local volunteer businessman (after transferring the third tranche in the amount of more than 600 thousand UAH).
According to the investigation, they demanded these funds from the owner of the enterprise for signing certificates of completion of work on the construction and repair of infrastructure facilities by the municipal enterprise of the regional council.
For the so-called remuneration, officials also promised to repay the debt of the Ternopil OVA to this LLC, for work that has already been completed and accepted in 2022.
