On the instructions of President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, successfully evacuated 31 Ukrainian citizens from the territory of Iran.

Evacuation of Ukrainians from Iran
Among those evacuated were 5 men, 12 women and 14 children. The operation was carried out in transit through Azerbaijan to Moldova, all Ukrainians are heading to Kyiv.

“We felt completely unprotected the whole time in Tehran, there were no sirens, the Internet disappeared. We are very grateful to the Ukrainian consulate for not abandoning us,” shared Varvara from the Kyiv region.
This is the final stage of a large-scale operation to rescue Ukrainians from high-risk zones in Iran and Israel. Earlier, as part of a separate mission, another 176 people were evacuated from Israel, of which 133 were Ukrainian citizens.
“When the shelling started, it was worse than in Ukraine. We are grateful to everyone who helped us return home,” said Natalia, one of the evacuees.
Ukraine thanked international partners, diplomats, and the SkyUp airline, which helped with the implementation of the evacuation mission.
Let us recall that Zelensky announced the evacuation of 176 citizens of Ukraine and partner states from Israel to Egypt in anticipation of US strikes on nuclear program facilities in Iran.
