— Over the past week, IAEA experts continued to hear explosions and shots at various distances from the site, — the report says.
The IAEA recalled that due to Russian aggression, the nuclear safety situation at the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) “remains extremely challenging in the context of a military conflict, including efforts to ensure proper maintenance of key safety systems and other vital equipment”

As the agency reported, over the past week, IAEA experts stationed at the ZNPP have conducted several visits to monitor maintenance work at the site, as well as the availability of necessary spare parts for the plant.
— Following a series of outages earlier this month that also impacted water availability, power has been restored in the nearby town of Energodar, where most of the Zaporizhzhya NPP’s staff live. This week, IAEA experts at the Zaporizhzhya NPP site have had more regular access to running water after shortages last week, the report said.
Elsewhere in Ukraine, IAEA experts present at the Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, South Ukraine and Chornobyl NPPs reported that nuclear safety and security are being maintained despite the impact of the ongoing conflict. The teams continued to report air raid sirens coming from the facilities.
