The Security Service of Ukraine has detained six pro-Russian Internet agitators in different regions of the country who systematically spread hostile propaganda and called for undermining the state's defense capability through social networks.

In particular, a former propagandist for a pro-Kremlin newspaper was detained in the capital. After the editorial office was closed, he worked as a sports columnist for a Ukrainian online publication.

In parallel with his main activities, the suspect published calls for the bombing of Ukrainian cities in Telegram channels.
The second person detained in Kyiv was a 26-year-old fitness trainer who, via Instagram, called on men to avoid mobilization and spread disinformation about the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
In the Fastiv district of the Kyiv region, a citizen of a Central Asian country was exposed who created a network of accounts on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook with an audience of 60 thousand users.
The foreigner used the platforms to call on Ukrainians to capitulate to the occupiers.
SBU cyber specialists also detained a Kiev resident who praised the Russian leadership and glorified the occupation groups on Russian social networks.
A 41-year-old displaced person from the Donetsk region was detained in Kropyvnytskyi. He supported the seizure of the eastern regions of Ukraine by Russian troops on the Odnoklassniki social network.
In Ivano-Frankivsk region, a 30-year-old resident of the village of Perekrestnoye has been exposed. On Facebook, he described the armed aggression of the Russian Federation as a civil war, downplaying the international nature of the conflict.
Forensic linguistic examinations confirmed the facts of informational and subversive activities of all the defendants in the interests of a hostile state.
Therefore, SBU investigators informed the suspects that charges had been brought against them under several articles of the Criminal Code.
All those arrested are currently in custody. If proven guilty, they face up to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property.
