Scientists explain that the color of meteorites is formed when they enter the atmosphere.
On the night of July 6 in the sky above Turkey recorded a bright green meteorite. It was seen over Ankara, Istanbul, Bursa, as well as in occupied Sudak and Simferopol. In addition, it is reported that the meteorite was seen over Odessa.

The Turkish Space Agency explained that the color of meteorites is formed when they enter the atmosphere. The color varies depending on several factors, such as – the chemical composition of the meteor, its speed and gases. In particular,
“In general, these factors give rise to a variety of colors, making each meteorite event a unique and visually striking natural phenomenon,” the agency said.
Recall that in May of this year a bright meteorite flew over Portugal.
