Ukraine may soon receive its own ballistic missile, similar in characteristics to the Russian Iskander complex.
Ukraine successfully tests its own ballistic missile
This was stated in an interview with the BBC by the well-known military analyst Valentin Badrak and one of the key architects of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, Vladimir Gorbulin.
“In my opinion, without serious missile achievements it is impossible to win a war with Russia,” Gorbulin emphasized.
In particular, we are talking about the Sapsan missile system (aka Grom), which is almost ready for serial production.

According to experts, the missile has a powerful warhead – about 480 kg, which makes it similar to the Iskander, but with the potential to surpass its Russian counterpart thanks to modern technology and international military-technical cooperation.
“The president announced separate funding for ballistics in May after learning that the tests were successful,” Badrak noted.
According to Gorbulin, Ukraine has a unique scientific school, the successor to the famous Soviet design bureau that created intercontinental missiles, in particular Satan (R-36M2), which is recognized as one of the most powerful in the world.
“I think we can reach a range of 500, 1,000 and even more kilometers. But this requires three things: time, money and people,” he concluded.
Let us recall that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky ordered a significant increase in the production of attack drones and interceptor drones to counter Russian strikes.
He also ordered funding for the Ukrainian ballistic program.
