Spanish Girona won its fifth consecutive victory in the Spanish La Liga, defeating Mallorca at home in the sixth round. The game at the Estadi Montillivi stadium ended with a score of 5:3.
The hosts conceded at the start of the match with a penalty. A penalty kick against Girona was awarded for handball by Ukrainian Viktor Tsygankov in his own penalty area. The penalty was successfully converted by Vedat Muriqispreading the ball and the goalkeeper to different corners of the goal.
