Adviser Vadym Boychenko said that the basis for information about 22,000 dead is the many contacts that the Mariupol city administration maintains with the officials who remained in the city. Andryushchenko believes that real numbers can be much worse.

He reported problems with the reburial of dead people. The process becomes more complicated as the occupying authorities demand that the body be taken to the mortuary. In addition, the reburial person must state on video that the deceased was killed by the Ukrainian military.
