Germany will give Ukraine Vulcano missiles: a military expert told why this weapon is unique

by alex

Germany announced that they would transfer 225 Vulcano missiles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These are artillery shells that can destroy infidels at a distance of 70-80 kilometers. What is unique about this weapon – read the expert's explanation in the article.

This Channel 24 was told by Defense Express military expert Ivan Kirichevsky. He stressed that Vulcano is a guided projectile having a gas generator or a jet engine. That is why it has such a long range.

According to him, Ukraine is being given a more advanced version of these missiles, which can really hit moving targets at a distance of 70-80 kilometers.

And it is interesting that the shells were successfully tested with the French Cesar self-propelled guns and the German Panzerhaubitze 2000. Apparently, such ammunition will be used to destroy enemy compact targets, such as command posts or small trains. โ€“ said Ivan Kirichevskiy.

The military expert stressed that the Russians began to deconcentrate their ammunition depots to make it harder for the Armed Forces to destroy their HIMERS. “Well, now we will do it with Vulcano missiles to hit hostile targets precisely,” he replied.

When asked by the host, whether 225 Vulcano missiles would be enough for the APU

strong> , Kirichevsky replied that there are about 2 thousand of them in the world.

It's good that at first they give at least 225 missiles. The APU will show the effect and it is obvious that the Germans will give even more. Because now there is a growing demand for high-tech weapons after the Armed Forces of Ukraine have shown what can be done with these weapons,โ€ said a military expert.

Kirichevskiy added that this is a very high-tech projectile. “The Russians didn't pull it up, although they have a production of guided munitions,” he said.

On August 10, it became known that Germany, as part of military assistance, provided Ukraine with four more Gepard . Previously, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already received 8 such anti-aircraft tanks.

However, Gepard was not the only one. In addition to these, Berlin provided:

  • 10 HMMWV vehicles,
  • 3 armored recovery vehicles 2;< /li>
  • 8 mobile ground radars and thermal imaging devices;
  • 49 thousand ammunition for air defense systems, etc.
