Germany should provide Russia with materials on research conducted by Alexei Navalny. This call was made by the head of the Bundestag Committee on Economics and Energy, Klaus Ernst, quoted by RIA Novosti.

Ernst added that he hopes for the early involvement of the Russian side in data analysis. “You cannot demand clarifications and at the same time hide your own information,” he said.

On September 14, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said that for documentary and medical materials on the case of Navalny Russia, one should contact the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova explained that samples are needed to initiate a criminal case.

Navalny got sick on the morning of August 20 during a flight from Tomsk to Moscow, the plane urgently landed in Omsk. On August 22, the oppositionist was taken to a Berlin clinic. German doctors conducted a study and announced that the patient was poisoned with the poison of the Novichok group, but Russian doctors did not find any poison in Navalny's body. In September, the patient was brought out of an artificial coma.
