Germany and allies will transfer missiles for Patriot
Pistorius said that during a visit to Odessa a few weeks ago, he saw first-hand the effects of Russian missile attacks and announced another aid package.
— And especially after seeing how critical Ukraine's air defense is to survival, today I have the pleasure of announcing the delivery of a significant number of interceptors for Patriot — one hundred, — he added.
According to him, interceptor missiles are being provided as part of Germany’s initiative to strengthen Ukrainian air defense together with Denmark, the Netherlands and Norway.
— 32 of these interceptors have already been handed over in the last two days, and the remaining 68 will be delivered in the coming weeks, — added the German minister.
New air defense systems
President Vladimir Zelensky said at a press conference that Ukraine expects a positive result in receiving 2-3 air defense systems.
He did not name the countries with which negotiations are underway, since Ukraine is waiting for confirmation of the relevant decisions.
