Russia involved neo-Nazis in the war against Ukraine/social networks
German intelligence confirms the participation of several extremist groups from Russia in the fighting in Ukraine. Russian right-wingers and neo-Nazis have joined in the military aggression, according to a confidential report from the Federal Intelligence Service (BND).
According to Spiegel, last week the seven-page document was sent to several federal ministries. The report does not contain information on the number of right-wing extremist militants, but their names are given.
Extremists from the “Russian Imperial League” and “Rusichi” take part in the war against Ukraine
According to intelligence, two neo-Nazi groups are “Russian Imperial League” and “Rusich” – are fighting against Ukraine. According to analysts of the German foreign intelligence service, cooperation with these groups brings the named cause of the war, the so-called “denazification” of Ukraine, to the point of absurdity.
The publication adds that the Russian Imperial Legion, a paramilitary unit of the right-wing extremist group Russian Imperial Movement, was also recorded in the hostilities. Previously, their militants had already fought in the Donbass in 2014-2015. Their leader, Denis Gariev, considers the war in Ukraine “the liquidation of a separatist entity.”It is also reported that the “Russian Imperial Legion” recruited fighters with military experience and graduates of its own training center “Partizan”, based in St. Petersburg.
Intelligence also adds that Gariev's deputy died in battles in Ukraine, and the leader of the “Russian Imperial Legion” himself was injured. Other extremists were also injured.
Contacts from the Wagner Military Complex
German intelligence notes that the Rusich group of a neo-Nazi is also involved in the battles Alexey Milchakov. She is associated with the private military company “Wagner”, stationed in the Donbass until 2015.
It was after the war in the Donbass that the Rusich group “became famous” for its particular cruelty. It is known that the participants do not take prisoners, and Milchakov was recognized as a sadist after he killed a puppy and posted a photo on social networks. In addition, he repeatedly posted photos with a Nazi swastika.
The absurd “denazification” of Ukraine: in short
- Recall that on the night of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a “special operation” on the territory of Ukraine. He noted that Russian troops are striving for the “demilitarization” and “denatification” of Ukraine.
- In an interview, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky noted that in world history denazification began repeatedly and always ended very badly. He stressed that the same thing happened in Germany in the 1940s and now Russia's actions are pure Nazism.
- The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Edgars Rinkevics, noted that there is only one country in the world that needs real denazification. And this, in his opinion, is Russia.
- As of May 5, it is known that the aggressor country decided to abandon the use of the term “denazification”. The publication “Project” conducted a study and found that propagandists almost never use this word. This was confirmed by a media manager close to the Kremlin, sociologists and a political scientist. As it turns out, Russians don't fully understand the meaning of the word “denazification,” and some are even unable to pronounce the word. So the term was unsuccessful.
