On the night of July 3, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems Forces, together with other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, inflicted fire damage on JSC Energia in Yelets, Lipetsk Region, Russia – the plant's operations were stopped.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the General Staff, the Energia plant in Yelets produces batteries and accumulators for the weapons of the Russian Armed Forces, in particular for universal planning and correction modules.
“This is a Russian development that turns conventional free-falling aerial bombs into gliding aerial bombs with increased accuracy and range,” the General Staff explained.
This enterprise also produces batteries and accumulators for the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile systems, the Kh-35U sea-based cruise missiles and energy modules for specialized systems.
