UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres spoke about the difficult situation in the Gaza Strip and called for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire.
At a briefing on November 6, the secretary general said that Gaza was becoming a “cemetery for children” as “hundreds” of children became victims of the conflict every day.
— More journalists were reportedly killed in a four-week period than in any conflict in the last three decades. “More UN aid workers have been killed than in any comparable period in our organization’s history,” he added.
According to the Secretary General, no party to the conflict can be above humanitarian standards and a humanitarian ceasefire must be achieved immediately.
