Ex-SBU employee Ivan Stupak told Channel 24 that the Kremlin is indifferent to the fate of such soldiers. And the occupiers themselves may be hoping to survive and return to Russia, where even if they find themselves behind bars again, they will once again sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense.

“This is the cycle of garbage in nature,” stated Stupak.

According to him, this is a very striking example, but not the only one. If under Prigozhin they still tried to filter people somehow, in particular, not to take drug addicts, now they don’t disdain anyone.

In January 2020, in Kemerovo, a man abused his girlfriend Vera Pekhteleva for three hours. He inflicted more than 100 injuries on her, raped her and then strangled her.

Kanyus was sentenced to 17 years in prison, but in the spring of 2023, Putin issued an order to pardon him for his participation in the war against Ukraine.

“He survived the war and returned to Russia. I saw messages from the relatives of this deceased woman – they are simply shocked that this man is walking among them and he is now a “hero”,” Stupak noted.
