UEFA presented the official match of the final part of the European Championship 2024 in Germany. The presentation took place at a special event in front of the Olympiastadion in Berlin.
Euro 2024 ball
The ball was manufactured by the German company adidas. The model is called Fussballliebe, which translated from German means love of football.
The Euro 2024 ball is equipped with adidas Connected Ball technology, which will provide ball movement data and improve the performance of VAR referees.
Currently watching
This technology will be used for the first time at the European Championships. Previously, the same technology was used at the 2022 World Cup matches in Qatar.
The ball's built-in chip will function as part of a semi-automatic offside detection system. In addition, sensors built into the ball will record data 500 times per second and detect when players touch it during a match.
Euro 2024 in Germany will take place from June 14 to July 14 next year. Matches will be played in ten cities: Berlin, Stuttgart, Dortmund, Munich, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Leipzig and Gelsenkirchen.
24 teams will take part in the final part of the Euro. The Ukrainian national team will play the decisive match in qualifying for the tournament in Group C against the Italian team on November 20 in Leverkusen at the BayArena stadium.
