Chronicles of the struggle of steel “Azov” for Mariupol/”Azov”
The Russians planned to capture Mariupol in 3 days. The Azov Regiment accepted an unequal battle with superior enemy forces. The defenders of the city have already been nicknamed steel.
The number of enemy groups exceeded 14 thousand military personnel. The infidels had multi-ton bombs and naval artillery.
“Azov” inflicted serious losses on the invaders
Yes, the “Azov” stood between the enemy and all of Ukraine. Since the beginning of the Russian attack, they have liquidated:
- According to confirmed information, 1157 enemy manpower. According to unconfirmed reports, another 840 infidels.
- Sanitary losses – 520 confirmed (also 3150 – according to unconfirmed data).
In addition, the soldiers destroyed a lot of enemy equipment:
- tanks – 49 destroyed and 29 damaged;
- APC – 23 destroyed, 24 damaged;
- BMP – 36 destroyed, 24 damaged;
- BMD – 5 destroyed;
- “Raptor” boat – 1 destroyed;
- SU-25 – 1 damaged;
- “Typhoon” AFV – 2 destroyed, 2 damaged;
- “Tiger ” – 3 destroyed, 2 damaged;
- “Lynx” – 2 destroyed, 2 damaged;
- Trucks – 25 destroyed, 8 damaged.

The situation in Mariupol remains very difficult, the city has been under siege for the second month already. Thanks to the efforts of Ukrainian defenders, Azovstal is still holding on. There are hundreds of civilians and hundreds of wounded. Every day, the Russians inflict dozens of strikes on the plant.
Ukraine requires the invaders to provide 2 humanitarian corridors from Mariupol: one from Azovstal, the other from the city itself.
