The Russians continue their constant shelling, causing civilians to suffer. Most of all, they are hitting the Donbass, where active hostilities are now continuing.
It is very hot now in the Lugansk region. The head of the regional military administration Sergei Gaidai spoke about the situation there.
The enemy offensive near Toszkowka was not successful. The enemy also tried to advance in the direction of Ustinovka, but our defenders pushed back the invaders,” he informed.
According to Gaidai, our defenders managed to repel eleven enemy attacks over the past day. At the same time, they also skillfully destroyed enemy equipment. In particular, it refers to
- three tanks,
- five artillery systems,
- two armored fighting vehicles,
- thirteen vehicles
- three convoys with enemy ammunition.
Air defense units also have significant success. They shot down two unmanned aerial vehicles of the Orlan-10 type.
What is happening in the Luhansk region
- Sergei Gaidai told what is needed to drive the enemy out of the territory of the Luhansk region. It's no secret that we are in dire need of heavy weapons. So we will be able to knock out the enemy from all temporarily occupied territories. According to Sergei Gaidai, fierce fighting continues in the Lugansk region. The invaders are shooting the settlements to pieces, however, the enemy is not yet able to advance and capture them.
- The hottest direction of the Luhansk region is Severodonetsk. Russia threw all its forces into capturing the city and cutting off the Lisichansk-Bakhmut highway. The aggressor troops were ordered to complete these tasks until June 10. Fierce fighting continues. Sergei Gaidai said that Russia exacted a lot of equipment, artillery and personnel.
- But Ukrainians are a free people. Therefore, we will never be able to live under oppression and will fight even in the occupation. The Russian military staged a real terror in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories. Therefore, in the Lugansk region, people began to put up leaflets with hatred for the invaders. Ukraine will definitely liberate all temporarily occupied territories and return peace, tranquility and normal life to people.
