An “unusual” envelope was sent to the head of the French Interior Ministry. It contained a letter and black powder.

As it turned out, the letter itself contained racist insults, and the powder could have “hidden” the deadly plague.

Dangerous Message

A suspicious letter addressed to Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin with black powder inside was discovered on July 27 at the Le Poste sorting center. Preliminary tests for the plague were positive. The contents of the envelope are currently being analyzed at the Pasteur Institute. The results are expected on the evening of July 29.

Meanwhile, the police have launched an investigation. So far, only into the fact of insulting a public figure.

The French Ministry of Health reminded that the plague remains a serious disease, fatal in 30 to 100 percent of cases, but susceptible to antibiotics.

Recall that this is not the first incident that has occurred in France during the Olympics. Thus, on the eve of the start of the games, local police detained a Russian on suspicion of organizing acts of destabilization in Paris.
