Black powder in an envelope for the head of the French Interior Ministry — what is known
The local police tested the powder found inside.
It was sent to the Nuclear, Radiological, Biological, Chemical and Explosives Laboratory (NRBC-E): tests revealed a slight positive reaction to the plague.
The envelope also contained a letter containing harsh insults addressed to Dermanen.
The senders did not indicate their names on the envelope; the police intend to establish their identities during the investigation.
It should be noted that this is not the first time that French government employees have received suspicious parcels with threats.
One of the most recent cases occurred in March 2023, when former French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe received an envelope with white powder.
Luckily, no one was hurt: the politician's courier service discovered the suspicious letter and, without opening it, handed it over to the police.
