Unknown scammers swindle money from relatives of Ukrainian defenders. This is especially true of those soldiers who are missing or in captivity.

Scammers contact the relatives of prisoners or missing defenders and say that for a certain amount they will provide information about the military. This was reported at the General Staff on May 25.

Relatives of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to receive suspicious phone calls and messages. This is especially true for those servicemen who were captured or are considered missing.

The attackers, taking advantage of the emotional state of relatives and friends, make phone calls from hidden numbers and offer to “provide information” about the military and “facilitate release from captivity” for a monetary reward. Fraudsters are trying to find out the personal data of Ukrainian defenders. They explain this by saying that personal information is supposedly needed for clarification.

The General Staff notes that all of the above information is fraud. None of the representatives of the authorities or the military leadership collects any funds.

We officially announce that representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other bodies of military administration or state institutions DO NOT COLLECT FUNDS and do not resolve the issue of release from captivity by ransom, the message says.

Issues of the release of prisoners of war are decided by state authorities.< /p>

The situation in the Donetsk direction remains very complicated. The Ukrainian military is only holding the line. Heavy fighting also continues in the Limansky direction. The occupiers entered the Liman and the battle is already going on from there.

The Avdiivka military administration said that the city and the front line were under shelling all night. Despite very heavy shelling and attacks, the settlements of Ugledar, Marinka and Krasnogorovka are holding out.

During the day on May 24, 12 civilians were killed in the Donetsk region, and 10 people were injured.

Chapter Pavel Kirilenko told the Donetsk OVA that since February 24, 427 civilians have been killed in the region, and 1,156 people have already been wounded by Russian infidels. Unfortunately, the figures are not final, because the victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha cannot be calculated.

As of the morning of May 25, the entire Luhansk region was left completely without gas.
