“Russia is desperately ready to stage large-scale provocations on Independence Day,” warn the Ministry of Defense and the Office of the President. In particular, the explosions in Crimea are already dealing a psychological blow to the Russians, who have begun to prepare bomb shelters, realizing that this is only the beginning. The Institute for the Study of War assures that the Russian army has again exhausted its partially restored potential in the East, so that the coming months will not be able to move forward. At the same time, Vladimir Zelensky warned the Russians for the last time that if they arrange a trial for the defenders of Azovstal in Mariupol, they can forget about the possibility of negotiations and Ukraine will close this issue for itself completely. So, let's talk more about what Russia is preparing and how it will affect the continuation of the war.
Nazi methods in Russian implementation: what lies behind the “investigation” of Dugin's murder
Russians can prepare a large-scale missile attack on the territory of Ukraine already on Flag Day and Independence Day of Ukraine – August 23 and 24. Despair of Russians: occupiers panic after explosions in Crimea

Again there were explosions near the Belbek airfield, in Kazachka, in the area of Cape Khersones, there were also explosions in the area of Sevastopol, Bakhchisaray and Novofedorovka. And every time the Russians assured that in fact it was the work of air defense, they say, it's okay, everyone is protected. However, as with previous versions of the violation of fire safety, problems began with the version with the work of air defense. the Russians already doubt that air defense will cover them. The Institute for the Study of War claims that the occupiers in the coming months will not be able to devote enough resources to any one offensive operation and will not be able to capture more territory, unless a miracle or a large-scale provocation by Russia happens.
And the whole problem of the invaders is that they once again crushed a bunch of manpower and again exhausted their offensive potential, so they can again announce the so-called “operational pause”. They claim that the occupiers managed to get close to Avdiivka and Bakhmut, but they cannot move further due to the lack of personnel and the inability to turn tactical achievements into operational successes. After all, at the end of July, the Russians managed to capture the Novolugansk and Uglegorsk thermal power plants southeast of Bakhmut, though after the tactical withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as Ukrainian fortifications near the Butovka mine near Avdiivka. And the main problem, no matter how paradoxical it may sound in relation to a country with a population of 140 million people, is the lack of cannon fodder. Therefore, the Russians began to actively throw the inhabitants of the temporarily occupied territories to the war. This is happening along with the fact that the occupiers are forced to transfer soldiers directly from the front in defense of the Crimea. And now British intelligence reports that Russia is increasingly trying to motivate auxiliary forces, which it uses to strengthen its regular troops in the Donbass. Simply put, we are talking about local men. However, there are big problems with this, because the militants of the quasi-republic in the Lugansk region refuse to fight, and Putin is afraid to announce the forced mobilization of Russians, because this will show that “the king is naked”.
Nuclear blackmail of Russians – failure of plans or attempt to legitimize invaders
In addition, it seems that the blackmail around the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant also failed. At least temporarily. the Russians continue provocations on the territory of the station, and this can still cause a nuclear catastrophe. However, this issue has already gone far beyond the borders of Ukraine and is being discussed at the highest level. In particular, the United Kingdom and the United States have already stated that in the event of a catastrophe, NATO should regard the radiation leak as an attack on the entire block, because it will also hit the citizens of the member countries of the North Atlantic Alliance.
US President Joe Biden discussed with the leaders of France, Germany and the UK the importance of protecting the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in Ukraine. Everyone agreed that everything must be done to prevent hostilities from taking place around the ZNPP. They also recommended that the UN International Atomic Energy Agency visit Energodar to determine the plant's safety and operation. And here it is worth recalling that on the eve of Macron called Putin and he allegedly promises to allow the IAEA mission on Ukrainian terms.
However, this is the risk that Putin could clearly put forward his demands on Macron in exchange for the Russians allowing the IAEA mission to the ZNPP. And this can be either a demand to persuade Kyiv to negotiate a ceasefire, or an attempt to legitimize the presence of Russian troops at the station and achieve guarantees that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will not liberate the station from the occupiers. This will create an “island of safety” for them in the Zaporozhye region.
However, the Russians in desperation can take a fatal step for themselves. After all, Volodymyr Zelensky has already stated that negotiations are possible only after the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine.
By trying to “break” the Ukrainians, the invaders will put an end to the negotiations
