France has expressed its intention to expand cooperation with Ukraine in the field of defense. The country will not only provide old weapons and air defense systems, but also jointly develop and produce them together with Ukraine.
French Minister of the Armed Forces Sebastien Lecornu stated this in an interview with France Info.
—The war will continue, there are restrictions on the transfer of equipment in the French armed forces. Will we continue to do this? Yes, because thanks to our military programs we are going to remove a lot of old equipment from the French army. However, if we want to survive, we must be able to link French manufacturers directly with the Ukrainian army, — explained Lecornu.
About twenty French arms manufacturers, who took part in the first arms forum organized by Ukraine since the beginning of the war, expressed interest in cooperation with Ukrainian companies.

One of the prospects for joint work is the production of drones that can help in demining fields from mines.
—After the end of the war, we strive to continue cooperation in this large agricultural country. Clearing fields of mines is one of the important tasks. Our delegation includes a French manufacturer that develops ground-based drones — the so-called robots designed to work on the battlefield and neutralize mines, providing protection to sappers, were detailed by the French Minister of the Armed Forces.
We would like to remind you that French Defense Minister Sebastian arrived in Ukraine on an official visit Lecornu. He plans to discuss military assistance to our state. Lecornu began his visit to Kyiv on September 28. He is accompanied by the French Ambassador Gaël Veissières.
