The French government plans to allocate €200 million to the Ukraine support fund to continue the purchase of equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This statement was made by French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu, speaking before the National Assembly, Franceinfo reports.
According to the head of the Ministry of Defense, this will allow Paris to begin a new strategy for acquiring new equipment for the Ukrainian army. He added that the war in Ukraine is “a conflict from which we should not turn away.”

Help from France
In June, France announced that it was preparing a multi-year aid package for Ukraine, which, in particular, would include humanitarian aid, and also announced the allocation of €40 million for emergency reconstruction in 2023.
It will consist primarily of grants to avoid increasing the burden on Ukraine's public finances.
