France does not receive Russian gas via a pipeline from Germany/Word and deed
The head of the French gas transmission network GRTgaz announced that from June 15 it will no longer receive Russian gas through the German pipeline.
He explained that this was due to “the physical interruption of the flow between France and Germany”.

France receives about 17% of its gas from Russia, which enters the country through a pipeline or in liquid form on gas carriers. The vast majority of imported gas usually came through the pipeline between France and Germany.
According to GRTgaz data, since the beginning of the year, flows have been reduced by 60% and this import point has been operating at only 10% of its capacity. Two days later, supply fell to zero.
Meanwhile, France increased its oil imports from Russia
It should be noted that since the beginning of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, France, as well as India, China, the United The United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia increased the import of crude oil from the aggressor country. A significant part of this fuel is re-exported in the form of petroleum products, including to the United States and Europe.
European buyers in France, Belgium and the Netherlands bought most of the short-term discount cargo by buying liquefied natural gas and crude oil on the spot market. These purchases are made outside of existing agreements. Most Russian fossil fuels are transported on European ships.

Thanks to the fact that countries continue to trade with Russia, from February 24 to February 3 June Russia earned 93 billion euros in revenue from the export of fossil fuels. And the EU countries imported 61% of this volume, worth about 57 billion euros.
The largest importers were:

- Netherlands (€7.8 billion),
- Turkey (€6.7 billion),
