German Formula 1 driver Nico Hulkenberg will leave the Haas team and join Sauber at the end of the current Formula 1 season.
This was reported by both teams of the royal races, as well as the press service of Formula 1.
The 36-year-old racer is spending his second season as part of the American team. In the first year after returning to Formula 1 as a full-fledged driver in 2023, Hulkenberg scored nine points. Niko has four points so far this season.

A contract was concluded between the pilot and Sauber for several years — Specific terms of the deal were not disclosed. The German already played for this team in 2013.
Note that the Swiss team Sauber will become an Audi factory team in 2026. Last month, the German auto giant officially announced that it had acquired 100% of Sauber's shares.
During his career in Formula 1, the German, in addition to Haas and Sauber, competed for the following teams: Williams, Force India, Renault, Racing Point and Aston Martin.
Hulkenberg has competed in over 200 Formula One races but has yet to finish on the podium, although he started from pole position at the 2010 Brazilian Grand Prix for Williams.
