Former President of the Ukrainian Football Association Anatoliy Konkov, who spent two weeks celebrated his 75th birthday ago.

The UAF press service reported Konkov's death on Friday, October 4.

Anatoly Konkov: biography

Anatoly Konkov comes from the city of Khrustalny in the Luhansk region. During his playing career, he played as a midfielder.

Konkov defended the colors of Avangard Kramatorsk, Shakhtar Donetsk and Dynamo Kyiv. Four times with the white-blues he became the champion of the USSR, and also won the USSR Cup, the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.

He played 47 matches for the USSR national team, scoring eight goals. As part of the national team, he became the silver medalist of Euro 1972 and the bronze medalist of the football tournament of the 1976 Olympics.

As a coach, he headed Tavria, Shakhtar, SK Mykolaiv, Vorskla, Stal and Inter (Azerbaijan). He worked as the head coach of the youth team of Ukraine. He played seven matches at the head of the national team of Ukraine. From 2012 to 2015 he was the President of the UAF.
