Former fighter of the Kalinovsky regiment Margarita Voloshin was extradited from Vietnam to Belarus

Vietnam detained and extradited to Belarus a former fighter of the Kalinovsky regiment, who is fighting on the side of Ukraine. We are talking about Vasily Veremeychik. For service in the regiment, he faces 15 years in prison.

This was reported by 24 Channel with reference to Belarusian media. It is known that in 2020, Veremeychik supported the protests in Belarus, and after them, he left for Ukraine.

Former regiment fighter Kalinovsky handed over to Belarus

According to published information, he was detained in Vietnam on November 13 and handed over to the Belarusian special services the next day. The circumstances of the detention remain unknown, as well as how the Belarusian authorities learned about his stay in the South Asian country.

It is noted that he was delivered to Belarus on Belavia flight (B2978) from Moscow on the evening of November 14. This plane landed at the Minsk National Airport at 23:48. Veremeychik was delivered to Belarus under escort, which consisted of three people.

After the start of the full-scale war in 2022, Vasily Veremeychik went to the front and joined Kalinovsky's regiment. After that, the Belarusian moved from Ukraine to Lithuania, but there he was denied a residence permit due to his past service in the Belarusian army.

Under the call sign “Patsuk”, he was deputy commander of the “Volat” battalion and participated in battles in the Kherson, Nikolaev and Luhansk regions. In April 2022, during a battle in Mykolaiv region, he was wounded – out of seven fighters, only two survived. For his service, he was awarded the medal “Ukraine – Above All!”.
