The court released on bail the former head of the State Service for Special Communications Yuri Shchigol and people's deputy (formerly a member of the Servant of the People party) Andrei Odarchenko.

This was reported by the Anti-Corruption Center (ACC), and information about Shchigol’s release on bail was confirmed to RBC-Ukraine by sources in law enforcement agencies.

It is noted that for Yuriy Shchigol the bail was set at UAH 25 million, while for parliamentarian Andrey Odarchenko it was set at UAH 15 million.

It is noteworthy that the CPC also reports the release on bail of developer Sergei Kopystyr, who just this morning was sent to a pre-trial detention center with a bail of UAH 100 million. Today they also paid money for it.

Neither RBC-Ukraine nor the CPC reported whether the bail was paid by third parties or with funds from the suspects themselves.

The CPC notes that SAPO prosecutors asked for significantly larger sums for Shchigol (UAH 50 million) and Kopystyra (UAH 199.9 million).

The procedure for release from bail stipulates that after leaving the pre-trial detention center, all suspects will have to adhere to such obligations as, in particular, refraining from communicating with witnesses or other suspects, surrendering passports for traveling abroad and wearing an electronic bracelet.
